SpeakMail is a mobile application published by W4N9WE1. It records voice messages, uses cloud AI services to create transcriptions and email drafts, and helps you send the draft with the original audio attached.
SpeakMail stores information locally to provide its features, including:
This local data remains on your device until you delete it using the app’s controls or delete the app. Device backups may include app data according to your device and backup-provider settings.
SpeakMail requires an internet connection for cloud transcription and AI drafting.
When you request transcription, SpeakMail sends a copy of the selected audio, the transcription language, an anonymous app or installation identifier, and technical request information through a Cloudflare-hosted gateway to an Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (DashScope/Qwen) speech-recognition service.
When you use AI drafting or translation, SpeakMail sends the transcript, selected language and writing style, an anonymous app or installation identifier, and technical request information through the same gateway to an Alibaba Cloud Model Studio AI service. The service returns an email subject and body.
The gateway is designed not to persist audio files, transcripts, or generated email content. It may retain limited operational metadata for authentication, quotas, reliability, and abuse prevention, such as anonymous identifiers, request IDs, feature type, language or style, model name, status, usage counts, token or audio-duration totals, timestamps, and latency. Cloudflare and Alibaba Cloud may process network and service data under their own terms and privacy practices.
Do not record or submit content unless you have the right and any consent required to process it.
SpeakMail uses the microphone only when you choose to record. The recording is stored locally and a copy is sent for cloud transcription as described above.
When you choose a recipient from your contacts, SpeakMail uses the system contact picker and receives the email address you select. It does not scan or upload your full address book.
The current SpeakMail build includes Google Mobile Ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform consent infrastructure, but does not display ad units in the app. If advertising is enabled in a future build, Google may process device information, IP address, advertising identifiers, consent choices, and ad-interaction data depending on app configuration, region, consent, and platform settings. SpeakMail does not sell personal information. Where required, the app asks for consent or provides privacy controls before personalized advertising is used.
SpeakMail prepares an email and opens the email interface available on your device. The email and audio attachment are sent by the email account, operating system, and provider you choose. SpeakMail does not receive your email password, the final sent message, or the recipient’s response.
If you use a system share sheet, the selected content is passed to the destination you choose. That destination’s privacy policy controls its handling after sharing.
Recent recipient addresses and send status may be stored locally for convenience. SpeakMail does not send recipient lists to the cloud AI service.
SpeakMail uses RevenueCat to display products, process subscription access, validate entitlements, and restore purchases. Apple or Google processes payment details and app-store transactions. RevenueCat may process an anonymous App User ID, app and device technical information, product and transaction information, and entitlement status. SpeakMail does not send recordings, transcripts, generated drafts, contacts, recipient addresses, or email contents to RevenueCat.
If you submit feedback, SpeakMail processes the message and any optional reply email you provide. If you enable diagnostics, the submission may also include app version, build number, operating-system version, device model, locale, subscription-access state, and submission time.
Feedback may be sent through a support mail relay and email provider or through your device’s email app. Support messages may remain in the support mailbox until they are no longer needed. Do not include recordings, transcripts, or confidential email content unless necessary.
To request help with support information associated with your email address, contact w4n9we1@gmail.com. We may need enough information to identify the relevant message. Data held only on your device cannot be deleted remotely by us.
Cloud and support providers may process information in countries or regions other than where you live. Their locations and legal protections may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
SpeakMail is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy when SpeakMail’s features, providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised update date.
