Shift Privacy Policy

Shift is an iPhone contact export and transfer tool published by W4N9WE1. This Privacy Policy explains what Shift handles and what it does not handle.

1. Information We Access

Contacts

Shift requests access to your contacts only so you can choose contacts and export them. Contact data is processed on your iPhone. Shift does not upload, sell, or share your contacts with us or with advertising networks.

Exported Files

VCF, PDF, CSV, XLSX, HTML, and password-protected Shift backup files are created locally on your iPhone. A file leaves your device only when you explicitly use an iOS sharing or save action.

Password-Protected Backups

When you create a password-protected backup, encryption and packaging happen on your iPhone. Shift does not receive or store your password. If you forget the password, we cannot recover the protected backup.

2. Purchases and RevenueCat

Shift uses Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat to provide the optional Shift Pro lifetime purchase and verify purchase access.

RevenueCat may process an anonymous App User ID, app and device technical information, product and transaction information, and entitlement status needed to provide purchase and restore functionality. RevenueCat does not receive your contacts, exported files, or backup passwords from Shift.

Apple processes payment details through the App Store. Shift and RevenueCat do not receive your credit card or other payment credentials.

Shift does not require an account or a Shift cloud service.
Contact data and exported files remain in the app’s local storage unless you explicitly share, save, or back them up using an Apple or third-party service.
If iCloud Device Backup is enabled, iOS may include app data in that backup under Apple’s services and policies.
Deleting Shift removes its local app data according to iOS behavior. Copies you explicitly saved or shared are controlled by the destination you selected.

4. Analytics and Advertising

Shift does not use advertising networks or cross-app tracking. Shift does not use your contacts or exported files for analytics.

5. Children’s Privacy

Shift does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account and does not upload contact data.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Shift’s functionality or services change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
